Box Positioning Conveyor

Robotic Box Filling Conveyors can be configured to provide precise positioning for robotic filling. They can also be designed to be adjustable as future needs change.

Adjustable Robotic Box-Filling This application was designed to meet two specific box-filling configurations. It can also be easily adjusted to accommodate other box sizes and configurations.

How does it work?

  • The conveyor is loaded with 10 boxes (in two rows).
  • The conveyor is started. A pneumatic box stopper stops the boxes when they reach the end.
  • Two pneumatic cylinders activate a bar which snugs the first two boxes against the far side rail.
  • A second bar snugs the next two boxes.
  • The conveyor stops. A robot fills the first two boxes.
  • The end positioning bar retracts, releasing these boxes from the side rail. The box-stop lowers.
  • The conveyor starts and moves the filled boxes to a roller-storage conveyor. The box-stop raises
  • Once the filled boxes have passed, a photo-eye signals the second positioning bar to release the second set of boxes, which then move to the fill position.
  • Precise Box Positioning

    Pneumatic box stops and box clamps provide precise positioning. Stacking parts in a box robotically, requires precision positioning of each box, side-to-side and end-to-end. This system uses two pancake cylinders to stop the box at the end of the conveyor. Two pneumatic box clamps snug the boxes against the side. One clamp keeps a row of empty boxes from releasing to the fill position until the full box has exited. The other clamp positions the box being filled.
