Changes and Advantages:

• The Gripper Body (1) is one metal piece
  • Longer service life.
  • The magnetic sensor version is more compact.
• A plastic molded plug (4) on the top seals the gripper.
  • Reduced risk of external parts and debris entering the gripper (less open area on the top)..
  • This closed design prevents grease from falling out.
• The piston (3) is one piece.
  • Stronger, safer all metal piston. The plastic version was breaking when a heavy payload was pried or yanked.
• The pivot pin (6) is held axially by a tooth in a groove.
  • Improved reliability; this is safer than the previous retention method.
• The smaller air inlet orifice better controls the actuation speed.

A smaller open area on the top of the gripper finger reduces the risk of external parts and debris from entering.

Improved pin design for a more consistent mounting. This is safer than the old manual caulking and also achieves a better alignment of the pads.
